VIASPACE Presents Giant King Grass at International BIOMASS Conference in Minneapolis
(VIASPACE) VIASPACE Inc., a clean energy company growing Giant KingTM Grass as a low-carbon, renewable energy crop, announced that Chief Executive Dr. Carl Kukkonen made an invited presentation at the International BIOMASS Conference and Expo held May 4-6 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. More than 2000 attendees and 275 exhibitors participated in the Conference and Expo.
Kukkonen’s presentation at the conference was entitled “Giant King Grass: Energy Crop for Direct Combustion in Power Plants, Biogas Production and Cellulosic Biofuels”. “The extremely high yield of Giant King Grass and its multiple different energy applications generated a lot of interest”, stated Kukkonen. “Because of its high yield, it can meet the cost targets for biomass power plants, energy pellets and as a feedstock for biogas production and liquid cellulosic biofuels.”
In addition to the presentation, VIASPACE held a series of business and technical meetings with the global attendees to discuss new opportunities in the southern US and Hawaii, Africa, Israel, and Turkey, and to follow up on project discussions in Indonesia and India.
