Plans for Canada’s Largest Biofuel Facility Announced

(Journal of Commerce)  The largest organics biofuel facility in Canada will be built in Surrey, B.C., as a way to divert waste from the landfill and turn it into natural gas.

…City spokeswoman Tara Foslien says that eventually, Surrey aims to be home to North America’s only fully integrated organics waste management system.

It involves organic waste being picked up by a fleet of trucks that transport it to the biofuel facility, where waste will be processed into fuel to power the trucks.  READ MORE
