Millions Exposed to Unflattering View of First & Second Generation Biofuels Interests

Submitted by on April 26, 2010 – 12:43 pmNo Comment

by Joanne Ivancic (Advanced Biofuels USA)   In the 40th Earth Day Anniversary episode of “The Simpsons,” millions of viewers got an unflattering presentation of “switchgrass vs. corn” biofuels interests.  Knock down, drag out fight illustration of the relationship.

Talk about need for image rehabilitation….  Although, why repair images if they speak the truth.  Better to look for common cause and repair relationships, not just images.

Seems to me if we follow the example of leaders like POET with feet in both arenas, and admit that if the evolution of biofuels development builds on existing experience and strength nurtured by the first generation biofuels interests, all involved should achieve greater success more effectively, more efficiently and more sustainably.

And the image could repair itself before The Simpsons produce the 50th Earth Day anniversary episode.    Watch the episode.  Switchgrass vs. Corn is at 3:42.
