Major Global Biofuels Agreement Signed at Rio+20

(TheBioenergySite)  An agreement has been signed by The Netherlands and Brazil at international sustainable energy conference Rio+20 designed to boost biofuels development between the two countries.

Brazil and the Netherlands will intensify their collaboration on the development of biofuels that meet sustainability requirements.

The two countries will also be sharing knowledge of new techniques for the use of biomass for electricity generation.

State Secretary Atsma (Infrastructure and the Environment)signed an agreement on this with Luiz Figueiredo Machado, the chief negotiator for Brazil at Rio+20.   READ MORE and MORE (Biofuels Digest)
