Florida Ethanol Plant Gets Boost from New Jersey Solar Firm

(Get Solar.com)  In many ways, it’s a match made in renewable energy heaven. A South Lake County, Florida garbage-to-ethanol plant will soon begin installing a massive solar installation with the aid of Edison, New Jersey solar installer and developer SunDurance Energy, reports the Post-Tribune.

The first phase of the project will be a 22,000-panel solar installation that generates 5 megawatts of clean, renewable energy.

Powers Energy, which owns the ethanol plant, is negotiating to purchase around 500 acres of land, which will allow the initial installation to expand to as much as 100 megawatts of capacity over the next five years.   READ MORE  and MORE
