Ethanol and Boat-Fuel Storage Tips

Based on advice from major engine manufacturers and experts in the petroleum industry, the article recommends either completely draining the fuel tank or filling the tank 95% full and adding the proper amount of gas stabilizer prior to storage. Leaving a small air space reduces the amount of water that can condense inside the tank over the winter, yet still allows for expansion of the gasoline due to fluctuations in temperature.
