Charlotte gets $55K for biofuel project

(Charlotte Business Journal)  Fourteen organizations, including one in Charlotte, have been awarded grants totaling $950,000 from the 2009 N.C. Green Business Fund.  The Charlotte area has received $55,000 to help develop a Greater Charlotte Region Biofuel Facility that will turn brown grease into biofuel.    Brown grease, also known as trap grease, causes more than half of the sewage overflows for the local water and sewer department.  READ MORE
