Biofuel Company Interested in Tupper Lake

by Jessica Collier  (Adirondack Daily Enterprise)  A Seattle-based company is interested in opening a biofuel facility in the Tupper Lake area.

John Tubbs, head of the Franklin County Industrial Development Agency, said he’s been in regular contact with the company. He would not name it, but he said it’s one that operates globally.

“We have had two in-person meetings with this biomass company,” Tubbs told the Enterprise in a phone interview. “And they like what they see so far.”

…The company is mainly interested in Tupper Lake because it needs a readily available supply of wood.

…Representatives from the company met with significant players in the logging industry in both Franklin and St. Lawrence counties the last time they were in the area, Tubbs said.  READ MORE
