Advanced Biofuels Tracking Database from Biofuels Digest

by Jim Lane (Biofuels Digest)  In Florida, Biofuels Digest released its updated Advanced Biofuels tracking database, release 1.1, with advanced biofuels production capacity now projected to reach 1.704 billion gallons by the end of 2013, based on announced projects and updated company guidance. The previous 1.0 release of the database last year had projected production capacity at 1.3 billion gallons.

The database is now tracking 56 companies with advanced biofuels projects in 13 countries.   READ MORE  

UPDATE:  March 23, 2010 version:  now featuring 67 announced projects with 2.322 billion gallons in announced capacity by 2014, and 107 million gallons of installed advanced biofuels capacity by the end of 2010.

Recently added projects include: UK Carbon Trust Algae consortium; the UK Carbon Trust pyrolysis consortium; the UOP-Aquaflow Bionomic project in Hopewell, Virginia; Greenfield Ethanol’s pilot plant in Ontario, Canada; Argentina’s National Technological University pilot algae project; the Buckeye Technologies pilot project in Perry, Florida; the Praj MATRIX pilot in Pune, India; France’s BioTfuel; Pond Biofuels in Ontario, Canada; Trenton Fuel Works in New Jersey; and the US Biofuels project at multiple sites in California.  READ MORE
